Lab PCR Manager

INTRODUCTION:

BioDx labs has been in business since 2015 and now has just moved to Las Vegas, NV. in January 2024.

We use proteomics and molecular approaches to gain mechanistic understanding of cell survival and growth, particularly in the areas of PCR testing for (Wound Care, Respiratory, Gastral & Intestinal (GI), Women’s Health and Toenail Fungi for Doctors and Hospitals Nationwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning, organizing, and directing various aspects of lab function, as well as laboratory benchwork.

Detail-oriented in PCR testing and have experience with molecular and biochemical assays.

Maintain CAP and State inspection readiness at all times. The Lab Manager works under the direct supervision of the

Laboratory.

The Lab Manager shall ensure that lab services follow best practices with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost

containment.

Organize and maintain lab database

Manage various aspects of lab maintenance, organization, and other lab administrative tasks.

Perform laboratory benchwork, including PCR, immunoblotting, DNA and RNA purification, recombinant protein

production and purification, and biochemical assays.

Make statistical calculations, analyze data, and prepare reports summarizing results.

Assist in writing and preparing figures for publications and grant applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) 4 – 6 years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of assigned department’s area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required.

Master’s degree in a related area may be preferred.

SALARY:

$38-$55 an hour (DOE)

TIME:

M-F 8:30am - 5pm
