We are forming a small film team supported by AFE, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping newcomers enter the film industry. We are looking for adults with little or no experience in filmmaking who are serious about training to become a camera operator or fill other positions on set, including director.
This training is completely free and takes place on our movie sets, where we use professional equipment, including 4K full-frame cameras. Training sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays only, so you must be available on both days.
Our films may be rated G, PG, PG-13, or R, so you must be comfortable with the professional elements of filmmaking, which may include language, violence, and nudity.
Once you are fully trained, you will be assigned to work on a film and will earn a share of the profits, equal to that of all other crew members, based on your time on set. This is a great opportunity to build your film portfolio, gain IMDB credits, acquire essential skills for the industry, and never have to pay for training.
