PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
To produce quality products for online sales by processing kits/items that presents a final product that is required to meet or exceed customer expectations. Utilizing best practices in the processing department by maximizing the efficiency and quality of the operations. The overall goal is to meet processing, inventory, and shipping goals and maximizing sales while keeping within operational budgets.
Production Associate
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The production associate is responsible for the following functions (See work production guide).
Meet or exceed daily production goals for online market.
Meet or exceed company quality standards.
Making timely adjustments to increase processing efficiency & quality based upon daily results.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned departments.
Maintaining and improve safety standards in assigned departments.
Daily/regular attendance as scheduled.
Cross training in other depts.
Performing other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by company management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have production, photography, and product quality knowledge in a production and order fulfillment environment. May use computers, ipad, cameras. Must have production knowledge and an understanding of product flow to maintain a high volume and diverse product line. Knowledge of WMS or ERP systems. Must be able to maintain a positive and “can do” attitude within a fast paced warehouse environment. Must have interpersonal communication skills, competent computer skills, organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail. Be a part of a team.
PHYSICAL FACTORS:
Lift/Carry: Minimum up to 30 pounds.
Push/Pull: 1000 lb pallet using pallet jack
Sit/Stand During normal hours
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Use step ladders, cutting board, box cutters, weight scale, starview packaging machine, and general purpose shop tools. May handle sharp metal parts.
Facility is a warehouse environment that climate controlled.
STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE:
The production associate performance will be measured on the following:
1. Meeting daily production goals.
2. Meeting quality control standards.
3. Ability to utilize computer, photography, and software.
4. Follow Production guidelines.
5. Operating machinery.
6. Maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
7. Maintain regular attendance.
8. Ability to work with everyone in a team environment.
