Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our healthcare team as a Medical Assistant. If you're passionate about healthcare and eager to learn, this is the perfect opportunity for you! While prior experience in healthcare is preferred, we are willing to provide training for the right person who matches our team values. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Learn to assist with patient intake, including recording vital signs and medical histories.
Help prepare patients for exams and assist physicians during procedures.
Administer medications and vaccinations under supervision.
Gain experience in routine laboratory tests, including blood draws and EKGs.
Maintain and sterilize medical equipment.
Assist in preparing exam rooms and ensuring a clean, comfortable environment for patients.
Provide education to patients on common medical procedures and general health guidelines.
Administrative Duties:
Learn to schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care.
Assist with maintaining and organizing patient medical records.
Support insurance verification and patient billing processes.
Answer calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
Help with maintaining the medical office inventory and supplies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A desire to learn and grow in the medical field is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay organized, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
Empathy, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
