Installation and Repair: Install, maintain, and repair various automated gate and access control systems. This includes welding, wiring, and programming systems and configuring access control equipment.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix technical issues with gate operators, electronic controls, and safety features.
Leadership and Training: Lead and mentor junior technicians, provide instructions, and guide less-experienced team members in the field.
Customer Service: Provide positive and professional customer service, explain the scope of work, and ensure the customer's needs are met.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards, such as UL325 and ASTM F2200, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Documentation and Inventory: Maintain accurate records of all installations, services, and maintenance performed. Manage truck inventory and partner with the support team to order parts.
Experience: Requires a minimum of 8 years of experience in gate and access systems.
Technical Skills: Must be able to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills are necessary to guide a team.
Mechanical Aptitude: Good mechanical ability and knowledge of tools are essential for installation and repair.
Physical Requirements: The role may require lifting up to 80 pounds, working in various weather conditions, and climbing ladders.
Other Skills: A valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and problem-solving abilities are also important.
