Shifts Available: Training on the AM shift (1-3 months), permanent assignment on the second shift starting at 4 PM.

Job Summary:

National Ready Mix is seeking a motivated and dedicated Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to grow within the company and develop their mechanical skills. You will begin training on the morning shift before moving to the second shift. In this role, you will be responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks on our fleet of trucks and machinery.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs: Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections on diesel trucks and equipment.

Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues and troubleshoot problems with trucks and other machinery.

Parts Replacement: Replace defective parts like brakes, belts, filters, and other mechanical components.

Inspection: Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.

Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed.

Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all company safety protocols.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; automotive or diesel technology courses are a plus.

Skills: Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, ability to use hand tools, and familiarity with diagnostic equipment.

Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision when performing maintenance and repairs.

Communication: Ability to communicate with team members and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Prior experience or internships in diesel or automotive repair is a plus but not required.

Certifications: ASE certification or relevant credentials are preferred but not mandatory.
