The AV Designer will assist the design team in creating all AV designs. The designer is expected to create drawings, schedules, and specifications packages. The Designer will be responsible for communicating with the client and understanding the project’s objectives. The Designer works with the design staff to develop project deliverables as detailed in the project description and contract.The designer will also assist in on-site installation supervision, integration, and programming for projects. It may be required for the designer to use ladders and lifts to assist in installing AV equipment.Job Responsibilities:Lead AV design projectsBe the lead designer and communicate directly with the clientOrganize and manage the internal design team to produce milestone deliverables.Support lead designersSupport other designers as needed, based on project needsProvide equipment research and communicate with manufacturers Provide AV studies (Projection and acoustic studies)Translate designer mark-ups into project design documents Produce design documentsAV plansDetails and elevationsControl diagramsSchedules, reports, and specification packagesAttend project meetings and provide meeting agendas and notes as neededPerform QAQC on all client deliverablesTravel to the project site and client meetings as requiredContinue professional development and education for emerging technologiesPerforms other related duties as assigned
