Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join our team and play a key role in overseeing all aspects of our financial operations. This results-oriented professional will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage accounting processes, and provide valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This is an in-person position with no possibility to work from home.
Responsibilities:
Manage the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Manage cash flow and develop financial forecasts.
Manage budgeting processes and monitor adherence to budget targets.
Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
Manage and develop the accounting team.
Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a controller or senior accounting role, preferably in the construction or environmental services industry.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online/Desktop) and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
