Somersett Golf & Country club – Job Posting for Golf Shop Assistant
Somersett Golf & Country Club invites you to join our team. We are currently searching for an Assistant Golf Professional/Golf Shop Assistant for the upcoming 2024 season. The anticipated start date is March 2024.
Somersett G&CC is a 20 year old private country club located in Reno, Nevada. This Tom Kite 18- hole Championship design located in the Northwest part of Reno has pristine blue grass/rye fairways, undulating bent grass greens and 62 dramatic white sand bunkers. A high desert course with few trees and breathtaking views of the Peavine and Sierra Nevada Mountains. Somersett has 6 sets of tees as well as 2 sets of family tees allowing players of ages and abilities to enjoy their game of golf. We have a full length driving range, putting green, short game area and indoor short game practice arena.
Our team member will assist in the management of the Golf Operation. He/she is expected to provide an excellent experience for members and their guests daily by performing the following duties personally or collaboratively. Other duties may be assigned.
Promote the Game of golf, while displaying honesty, integrity, and fairness through your actions
Accurately managing tee time reservations and event signups through online apps and software.
Golf Shop sales and merchandising
Inventory Control
Weekly game organization and operation
Ensure that the desires and needs of club members and their guests are consistently exceeded
Starting and marshalling
Junior Golf instruiction
Computer literate – Jonas, Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point
This is a seasonal job from March to November but can lead to a full time year round position.
Hourly rate is commensurate with experience. Minimum $15/hr. Other benefits include play and practice opportunity, $5 staff meal, small clothing allowance.
