Job Overview
Chambers Landing Bar & Grill is seeking a motivated and efficient individual to join our team as a Food Runner. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to our guests' tables. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with both front and back of house staff will contribute to the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Food Orders: Quickly and accurately deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables, ensuring that each dish is presented in a timely manner and in accordance with the guests' preferences.
- Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact between the front of house and back of house staff, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless coordination between the two areas of the restaurant.
- Communicate Orders: Relay food orders to chefs and kitchen staff, paying close attention to any special requests or dietary restrictions such as food allergies, and prioritizing orders accordingly.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, including clearing empty plates and utensils from tables and ensuring that food presentation meets the restaurant's standards.
- Assist Servers: Provide support to servers as needed, including refilling drinks, delivering additional condiments or utensils, and addressing any guest requests promptly and courteously.
Skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements
- All candidates must possess a valid Food Handlers Certification issued by an accredited agency recognized by the State of California. This certification ensures that servers have a basic understanding of food safety principles and practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
