Help the full-time chef in a sorority kitchen at the University of Nevada, Reno. The Kitchen Assistant is a part-time seasonal (school-year) position with a pay rate of $18.00 an hour, Monday - Friday, 3 - 8 pm preferred. (25 hours a week. Hours can flex. Please note your preferred hours when applying.) This is a smoke-free friendly environment.
Responsibilities
The kitchen assistant responsibilities include: assisting the Chef with meal prep, buffet set up/tear down, working with student servers, loading/unloading the dishwasher, maintaining a clean workspace, sweeping/mopping the kitchen/dining room, emptying the trash, and restocking products.
Experience
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience welcomed.
Willingness to learn and assist in managing an educational and professional kitchen
ServSafe certificate preferred but not required
