Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium: Salary plus up to an additional $1,000 per month Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium for employees who are permanently assigned to a position located in the North Lake Tahoe Area.
Placer County is accepting applications for Engineering Technician I and Engineering Technician II for the Department of Public Works in the Tahoe area. This position is primarily responsible for reviewing and approving encroachment permits for work within the Placer County right-of-way in East Placer on behalf of the Department of Public Works. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read engineered plans, understand principles of grading, drainage, and road pavement, communicate effectively with contractors and agencies, and provide excellent customer service within our North Tahoe communities.
Each level of this job has different minimum qualifications - the level I doesn't require any experience! The level II requires two years of experience. Both require an Associate's degree or the equivalent (experience can substitute for education).
