Hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri with option of 4/10’s, overtime available as needed
Compensation: $18 Starting wage, possibly more DOE. (90 Day Probationary DOE)
Reporting to: Head of Production
Location: Sparks, NV.
The Role:
Fyrn is hiring Production Associates to join our team in Sparks, NV.
The Production Associate will be trained in all aspects of the furniture building process. This can include cutting, drilling, and sanding of wood components, as well as upholstery selecting, cutting, wrapping, product finishing, assembly, and shipping. The Production Associate needs to have great hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, be able to handle daily moderate physical effort, and be okay with repetitive tasks. This position requires the ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day. All Production Associates are non-safety sensitive positions.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Produce components for furniture
Wearing proper PPE
Selecting / sorting wood
Cutting, shaping, drilling, sanding and wood finishing
Upholstery selecting, cutting, wrapping
Assembly, packaging and shipping
Maintain efficiency standards with a constant focus on productivity improvements.
Address housekeeping issues at the moment.
Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Cross trained in all aspects of furniture building, but will have a designated area of expertise based on skills.
Preferred Skills (but not necessary):
Makers and artisans of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Some woodworking experience.
You have a decent rudimentary understanding of woodworking tools (sanders, routers, drill presses, etc).
