Summary: Completes general labor responsibilities by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Load and unload insulation materials
2. Complete prep work for installation, which may include foaming penetrations, caulking gaps, installing baffles, etc.
3. Cut sections of batt insulation to the proper fit, and install in walls, ceilings, and floors, as required.
4. Install mesh fabric (or netting)
5. Load the blower machine with fiberglass and cellulose; regulate the flow of materials. Blow to appropriate depth/density.
6. Install vapor and air barriers as needed.
7. Use common hand tools such as knives, scissors, saws, and staple guns.
8. Properly maintain equipment and tools
9. Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
10. Ensure a clean job site.
11. Other duties as assigned.
12. Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, sealants, tape, or cement.
13. Prepare surfaces for insulation application by applying adhesives, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces.
14. Must understand the materials and what they’re used for
15. Assists with assigned responsibilities such as operating equipment and performing general maintenance.
16. Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas.
17. Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
18. Always maintains neat and orderly work areas.
19. Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
20. Reports any problems or discrepancies to management.
