A local company is looking for a skilled and reliable individual to take on the main role of Landscaper for a private residence in Reno, NV. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the property’s exterior spaces, ensuring the grounds are beautifully landscaped.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug screening (including marijuana)
Perform other duties as assigned by the house manager or owner.
Landscaper Duties:
Perform routine landscaping maintenance such as mowing, edging, weeding, trimming, and pruning
Design, plant, and maintain gardens, flower beds, trees, and shrubs as needed
Maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering schedules and performing minor repairs
Perform pool maintenance (training provided)
Seasonal tasks such as raking leaves, mulching, snow removal, and applying fertilizer and pesticides
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools
Caretaker Duties:
Assist with general errands, mail collection (including Fed Ex)
Washing personal vehicles
Report and concerns or repairs needed to property owner or manager
Coordinate contractors and service providers (plumbers, electricians, etc.) when necessary
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a private home landscaper
Proficiency with landscaping equipment and basic knowledge of plant care and irrigation systems
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Trustworthy and dependable with excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license (with an acceptable driving record) and reliable transportation
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings
