Vehicle Maintenance Manager

Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Manger who will oversee maintenance daily operation. Responsibilities includes but are not limited to overseeing staff production and quality of work, scheduling repairs and PM, ensuring equipment is safe, reliable and cosmetically suitable and assuring resort equipment needs are met.

Who you are

Experience and computer skills

Sound knowledge in the repair and maintenance of diesel/gasoline powered equipment as well as electrical/hydraulic systems.

Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced, and changing environment.

Self-starter who can determine on own what should to be done and in what priority.

Must be able to assess the quality of work performed by the vehicle maintenance staff - is the work completed to the highest possible quality and done in a timely and efficient manner.

Must meet all the Level 2 Journeyman Vehicle Maintenance Technician requirements.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Budgets

Schedule and timekeeping

Documentation and record keeping

Shop parts and inventory

Maintain a safe work environment. Conduct bi-monthly team safety meetings

Working closely with the Director of Fleet to ensure the vehicle maintenance department achieves its established operational and monetary goals - Equipment is safe, reliable, productive, ready for work as needed and well maintained cosmetically. Ensure staff is highly productive and the quality of the work is outstanding

Work with the Director of Fleet to ensure compliance with Bit (Biennial Inspection of Terminal), CHP and DOT programs

Work with all Sugar Bowl department heads and ensure their vehicle needs are met

Review all vehicle and equipment check out sheets regularly

Work with the Director of Fleet to maintain a winter list of repair work to be done during the scheduled summer PM for each piece of equipment.

Work with the Director of Fleet to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment and vehicle fleet

Keep perimeter of the shop and shared space clean, organized

Maintain and ensure shop tools are organized and secure

Assist in providing on-going training of vehicle technicians

Be willing and able to provide excellent customer service to all people at all times

Work with Parts Supervisor to maintain correct inventory of parts
