Screen Printing Separation Artist

About the Role
As our Separation Artist, you will be responsible for preparing customer-submitted artwork for the screen printing process. This isn't just about clicking a button; you'll be the crucial link between the digital design and the physical product. Your work will directly impact the quality and vibrancy of every print we produce. You'll be using your skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create precise color separations, troubleshoot tricky designs, and ensure every detail is perfect for the press.
Responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate client-submitted artwork to determine the best separation method.
Prepare multi-color designs for screen printing, including spot colors, simulated process, and four-color process (CMYK).
Create and edit separations in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Color correct and adjust artwork to match client specifications and achieve optimal print results.
Communicate with the art and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Prepare proofs for customer approval.
Qualifications
Proven experience in creating color separations for screen printing.
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Strong understanding of screen printing techniques, including ink types, mesh counts, and print order.
Familiarity with various color models (CMYK, RGB, Pantone).
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong eye for color.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A portfolio showcasing your separation work is required.
