Embroidery Machine Operator Position - F/T or P/T

Job Summary
Our company has an immediate full-time or part-time opening for an experienced and detail-oriented embroidery machine operator in the production department. We prefer someone with at least two (2) years experience, no less than (1) year, operating commercial embroidery machines and/or has sewing experience in a high volume capacity. We will consider someone with less experience, if the candidate is excited for an opportunity to train in a new field, learns quickly, is eager to learn and grow with our company.
In order to be considered for this position, the applicant MUST have solid sewing or embroidery machine experience. A candidate who has no experience must be willing to learn a new trade and will start at entry level position & pay. If you do not have experience on multiple-head commercial embroidery machinery, we will consider training an the perfect responsible trustworthy candidate. We are looking for (1) full-time or (2) part-time employees. The hours for this position are during the day shift, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 16 to 40 hours per week. Hourly rate is depending on experience or entry level. This is a great position for Parents with kids that only want to work Mornings or afternoons. Also, can work part time on weekend shift.
Our company provides quality screen-printing, embroidery, Direct to Garment printing and Heat Transfer printing on high-end apparel, imprinted promotional products, as well as graphic design. We have been in business for over 32 years. It would be a plus to have an understanding of this kind of production and the promotional advertising industry. Excellent quality control skills are essential.
We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, efficient, punctual, works well alone & with others and is a team player. Must be good with details, a self starter who is responsible, punctual to work and has excellent quality control work. Must be neat and clean with work area. You must possess an understanding of imprinting - creative skills would be a plus. We require someone who is positive, energetic, has a great attitude, and possesses a high level of workplace ethics. Willing to learn and grow in the production department.
Responsibilities and Duties
Job duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Operate automated commercial embroidery machines
Have a good eye for placement / location of logos on products
Be able to set up machine, thread machine, hoop product
Complete job tasks in a high quality, timely manner
Counting products / goods for jobs
Paying attention to details on orders & deadlines
Maintain excellent Quality Control standards
Read & problem solve work orders, design proofs and instructions for orders
Attention to detail is necessary
Follows policy, procedures and quality guidelines
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills with co-workers
Maintain machines & keep work area clean & organized
Input production notes into system and file art packets
Qualifications and Skills
All candidates must have at least one year of experience with embroidery, preferably on commercial embroidery machines. The employee also must:
Have the ability to work fast and meet deadlines
Have the ability to pay attention to detail
Have the ability to safely and efficiently operate embroidery equipment
Have the ability to work in a team environment on assigned tasks
Must be neat, clean, organized
Understanding of proper filing systems
Excellent with colors
Incredibly creative eye when imprinting designs on products
Excellent math skills
Have basic computer knowledge
Have a high school diploma
Possess a willingness to maintain a professional workplace, strong work ethic, efficiency, and desire to learn
