Farm Production Assistant
Local farm, in Dayton NV, is hiring for production assistants. Primary farm operations consist of soil & hydroponic vegetable production, as well as poultry for free-range egg production and tilapia aquaculture production.
Production Assistantsâ primary job tasks are as follows:
⢠Seeding
⢠Transplanting
⢠pruning/defoliating
⢠trellising
⢠harvesting
⢠produce washing
⢠produce packing
⢠general clean up
⢠poultry feeding
⢠egg washing & packing
Qualified individuals possess previous experience in fast paced work environments, excelling through efficiency. Appropriate previous experience includes warehouse picking, fast casual restaurant kitchens, landscape companies & farm work. All applicants must be capable of following food safety protocols. This position is full-time, but seasonal. Season ends by November. Work schedule is either Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday, to be determined by personnel manager at time of employment.
Applicants must be capable of the following:
⢠Lift 30 lbs constantly
⢠Lift 50 lbs occasionally
⢠Lift 30 lbs overhead
⢠Walk constantly
⢠Crouch or kneel for extended periods of time
⢠Exhibit fine motor control constantly
⢠Read & understand safety warnings & protocols
⢠Possess good quality vision & hearing skills
⢠Work diligently while exposed to elements including high temperature & humidity
⢠Repetitiously climb up and down ladders safely
This position pays $11-13 per hour depending on previous experience.
