Job Overview: We’re looking for a dedicated Screen Cleaning Technician (or Screen Washer) to join our fast-paced screen printing team! This role is essential to our production – clean screens are the foundation of efficient printing, allowing us to complete more jobs. If you’re a fast worker with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently, we’d love to have you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Screen Cleaning & Reclaiming:
Clean and reclaim screens by removing ink, emulsion, and residue, preparing them for future jobs.
Clean any tools used in the screen cleaning and reclaiming process to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
Production Support:
Ensure a steady supply of clean screens, directly supporting our printing team to keep production running smoothly.
Work Area Maintenance:
Keep the screen reclaiming area organized, well-supplied, and free of clutter.
Safely dispose of waste and maintain equipment according to company standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Handle reclaiming chemicals responsibly and follow all safety protocols, especially around moving mechanical parts.
Wear protective equipment and be comfortable with the physical demands, including standing for extended periods.
Requirements:
Previous experience in screen printing or embroidery is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently, with a focus on quality and speed.
Comfortable with getting a bit dirty – this is hands-on work in a production environment.
Ability to lift screens and stand on your feet for long periods.
Positive attitude, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must be comfortable working near moving mechanical parts and around some vibration.
