Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining tools, dies, and fixtures used in the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work with precision equipment to ensure high-quality output.
Duties
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on tools and dies to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on press machines and CNC machines.
Operate various machining equipment including milling machines, CNC machines, and stamping presses.
Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances in tooling designs.
Use hand tools effectively for assembly and adjustments of tooling components.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
3-5 years proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of machining processes including milling, CNC operations, and stamping press techniques.
Familiarity with GD&T principles to interpret technical drawings accurately.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Soft Skills:
Able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical staff and customers as needed.
Self-motivated
Displays a high-level of integrity, accountability initiative and effort.
Good interpersonal skills. Ability to interact respectfully and collaboratively with other employees and vendors.
