Welder/Fabricator: For our small machinery manufacturing facility in Carson City, NV, we are seeking an experienced individual with strong skills in TIG and MIG to weld stainless steel and steel used in our automated packaging equipment products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fab shop environment with the ability to make fairly simple sheet metal parts using a hydraulic shear and press-brakes.
Must be well-organized and maintain a neat work environment.
Punctual and reliable to meet shop needs.
Must be comfortable working largely unsupervised. This is a two-person department, you and a helper who you will supervise. Additional assistance will be provided when needed.
Required skills:
Must be able to create good quality welds with an attractive appearance on stainless steel frames and sheet metal seams.
MIG welding of steel framework; typically 3/16 thick wall rectangular tubing.
Build according to engineering drawings within specified tolerances.
Desired skills:
Be able to operate press brake and shear to create sheet metal parts per plans.
Hand-held laser welding of sheet metal.
Basic machine shop skills such as manual milling machine, drill press, etc.
