We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet rigorous quality standards and adhere to safety protocols. Responsibilities:
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and fillet welding techniques to join metal parts accurately and efficiently.
Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape, cut, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, piping, and structural components.
Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, and setting up components for welding or assembly processes.
Conduct rigging operations involving crane use for lifting heavy materials safely during fabrication or installation.
Read mechanical schematics related to ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Perform pipe threading, soldering, and assembly tasks as required for various projects.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction sites, welding operations, and equipment handling.
Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects, providing mechanical knowledge and problem-solving support throughout the process.
Inspect completed welds using calipers, or visual inspection techniques to verify quality standards are met before delivery or installation.
Skills:
Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of site safety procedures.
Expertise in MIG welding, FCAW welding techniques; familiarity with fillet specific welding standards preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately; knowledge of ASME codes & standards is a plus.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
Skilled in measuring with calipers; basic math skills for precise calculations are essential.
Experience working with sheet metal fabrication including structural components.
Knowledge of rigging operations involving cranes for lifting heavy materials safely on-site or in the shop environment.
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe threading, machining processes, soldering techniques, and assembly procedures.
Familiarity with schematics related to manufacturing processes; ability to interpret technical instructions accurately.
Strong safety awareness combined with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
