Brief Summary: We are excited to announce that the Recreation Department has a Full Time opening at our Glenshire location! This opening will supervise staff, plan programs during the school year (before and after school programs at Glenshire Elementary), over see two of our summer camps (Rad and Adventure), handle snow day and holiday programing with the other Directors, oversee the spring egg hunt at Regional Park, and get paid to play with kids! Our main goal is to provide a safe and fun place for kids to play when school is out and parents need a place for their kids to have fun! The Director will also coordinate different fun and exciting activities for school age children (K-5) and implementing those activities. Job duties also include supervising staff. supervision of kids, crafting, playing games, homework help, and maintaining a safe and fun environment.
This very important position for TDRPD requires the Director to have possession of a bachelor’s degree or at least 15 units in Child Development, or Child, Family, & Community, or ECE Program and Curriculum, and Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in childcare program development and implementation or possess a site Supervisor/Superintendent certificate. Candidate must be willing to take record keeping and health and safety courses to receive their Director certificate and it must be completed before the end of their probationary period (6 months) if they have not already obtained it. The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills for daily communication with program families.
Hours: Monday - Friday, Exempt position.
Pay is $35.77 per hour, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for employees and qualifying dependents, plus District perks valued at $500 per month for a family of 4 (they include membership passes to the fitness center, pool, golf course, and beach for employees and their entire family).
