Job Description:
As an Independent Handyman Contractor, you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance and repair services at Pet Network Humane Society’s facilities. This role offers flexibility, as you will work 32-40 hours per month, performing a range of tasks aimed at maintaining the upkeep of our facility.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the organization’s buildings and facilities.
Repairs: Complete minor repairs such as fixing leaky faucets and drain cleaning.
Installation: Install appliances, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, shelves, pictures, and other small installations.
Cleaning: Clean facilities, including restrooms, windows, and common areas, as needed.
Analysis: Assess appliances and equipment for potential issues and recommend repairs or replacements.
Landscaping: Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor areas, including trimming, weeding, gutter cleaning and lawn care.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule:
This is a part-time independent contractor position, with flexible hours totaling 32-40 hours per month. Some months might vary.
