We are a busy kayak shop seeking help in our retail store. The person who takes this position will fulfill many roles. In our work environment, we are:
1) Taking phone and internet reservations for kayak rentals and tours.
2) Delivering retail and rental kayaks to homes around the Tahoe area.
3) Corresponding with kayak guides to make sure our guided tours are staffed
4) Selling kayaks and paddle boards in the retail showroom
5) Helping maintain a clean store and an accurate retail inventory
6) Occasionally helping our beach rental staff as they rent kayaks to the public
7) etc.
We are looking for a flexible, outgoing, and organized person to help our small business. Ideally, this person would have:
1) A valid drivers license, and experience driving trucks and vans
2) Experience in a sales environment, perhaps selling sporting goods
3) Skills using common computer programs such as Excel, Word, Google Docs, Social Media, etc
4) Physical fitness that would allow you to safely lift 50-60lbs (i.e. kayaks and paddleboards)
6) Ability to work in the sun
At our store, you will be spending very little time in a back office. Most of our work involves balancing multiple tasks, while working at a computer on the retail sales desk.

This position is seasonal, and could be full, or part-time, so long as you can offer us a consistent schedule of availability through at least late September. We will have work available through the end of October.
While it is not necessary to be a candidate for this job, we do have a small studio apartment available in our employee housing complex in Kings Beach. This apartment is dog friendly, and you can rent it month-to-month as long as you remain an employee in good standing during the summer months (i.e. you can rent it all Winter, and through next summer if you continue working with us).
