NuLeaf is looking for experienced retail sales professionals with strong customer service skills and an interest in cannabis.

Prospective applicants need not be experts on cannabis- we are confident we can help you in this respect. However, applicants must be 21 or older, outgoing, upbeat, kind, and have a passion for helping people.

Sales experience and skills are a must, sales performance is continually measured, and top performers are rewarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service to all clients, vendors, and visitors

- Receive and greet guests for both curbside and in store purchases

- Check and verify customers' IDs for legal age and validity

- Assist with reception: including answering telephone calls, emails, and general customer inquiries

- Perform dispensary opening and closing tasks as directed: clean and organize shelves, prepare product displays, examine products to ensure that they are correctly priced, stock inventory, and other tasks as directed

- Maximize sales by maintaining excellent product knowledge and using approved sales strategies

- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of cannabis to describe and explain use, operation, and care of products to meet customer needs

- Follow procedures to utilize POS system to accurately and correctly process orders and track sales

- Follow all health, safety and sanitation regulations

- Comply with dress code requirements

- Must be punctual and present for all scheduled shifts

- Follow NuLeaf Safety Code of Conduct

- Follow NuLeaf Emergency Action Plan in the event of an emergency

- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- A High School Diploma or GED

- A minimum of two years of direct customer service experience in retail

- Previous cash handling (cash and credit card transactions) experience; familiarity with POS system preferred

- Demonstrated ability to flexibly engage with a diverse customer base, using skills in active listening and verbal communication to identify and resolve customer issues

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with attention to detail and remain focused in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment

- Demonstrated ability to maintain productivity between periods of high and low activity

- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and steady during periods of high stress or unusual events

- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp operating policies and procedures, products, patient needs, and legal issues

- Previous experience in the cannabis industry a plus

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written

- Strong reading comprehension

- Knowledge of basic math calculations

- Knowledge of basic computer functions (PC platform, email, MS Office suite, POS system)

- Strong attention to detail and ability to focus

- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

- Ability to adapt and change job tasks according to business demands

- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

- Ability to work accurately and efficiently while adhering to all company policies

- Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace; bilingual skills a plus

- Ability to work scheduled shifts and arrive for work on time; be punctual and present

- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

- Must pass a background check

Physical Demands

- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

- Ability to sit and or stand for periods up to four hours at a time

- No cannabis allergies
