Mobile Trailer Mechanic/Tech

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance or relevant experience in an entry-level Technician role

A valid driver’s license

Ability to perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary documentation

Basic computer skills

Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent work-related or military experience

Previous mechanical experience in automotive or skilled trades

Previous tire experience preferred

Previous heavy equipment experience preferred

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Strong Time Management skills

Previous Diesel mechanic / Semi Mechanic experience a huge plus

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on trailing equipment in compliance with manufacturer, DOT, and company schedules

Access all areas of the equipment to conduct necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on, or under trailers

Maintain proficiency in equipment and technologies that enhance productivity

Enter job times and parts on repair orders for activity tracking

Collaborate with operations and maintenance manager and maintenance lead.

Trailer Mechanics Are Required to:

Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally over 75 lbs

Safely walk and stand for extended periods on uneven or slippery surfaces, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel

Work in all weather
