Description We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team in the construction/contractor industry based in Sparks, Nevada. As a Project Accountant, you will be tasked with managing accounting functions, conducting audits, and handling fixed asset records. This role provides a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities Conduct detailed audit reviews, including combing through files and comparing existing records. Collaborate with the warehouse manager to ensure accurate fixed asset inventory and records. Work on accounting system improvements, specifically in exporting data into Excel for review. Handle the WIP - Work in Progress schedule in Excel, including necessary formulas for the outside CPA firm. Address any additional projects as needed, demonstrating proficiency in Accounting Software Systems. Ensure the accurate input of records, particularly fixed assets, into the Sage 300 system. Use Microsoft Excel extensively for data management and analysis. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must. Familiarity with all essential Accounting Functions. Demonstrable experience in Auditing procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software. Understanding of WIP - Work In Progress in construction context. Experience with Sage 300 software is highly desirable. Ability to manage and maintain Fixed Asset Inventory. Experience in managing Fixed Asset Records accurately.
