Incumbents will determine eligibility for the Child Care and Development Program, the position responsibilities will include making eligibility determinations based on established program policy and procedures. This includes screening documentation for completeness, reviewing and evaluating information provided by applicants and external entities, and budgeting income. In addition, the position will also explain program rules and reporting requirements to individuals inquiring about the program, assist individuals in completing an application, research and verify information provided by applicants by contacting landlords, employers, utility companies, and third-party individuals, evaluate and process information to establish eligibility based on current policies, procedures, and regulations within required timeframes, calculate household income and expenses, serve as a liaison between the Child Care and Development Program and other agencies and departments, refer program applicants/recipients to other community services as appropriate, and perform other related duties as assigned. This position does not underfill a Family Services Specialist 2.
