Nevada Copper (TSX:NCU) is a copper producer and owner of the Pumpkin Hollow copper project. Located in Nevada, USA, Pumpkin Hollow has substantial reserves and resources including copper, gold, and silver. Its two fully permitted projects include the high-grade underground mine and processing facility, which is now in the production stage, and a large-scale open pit project, which is advancing towards feasibility status. Purpose of the Position: The purpose of the paste plant operation is to produce paste backfill on surface which is then delivered underground. The Paste Plant Operator will ensure safe and efficient operation of various processing circuits/equipment including but not limited to:, thickeners, Automatic Filter Presses (AFP), material handling, sample collection, data recording, retrieval of sample data, proper handling of Cement and Binders, monitoring/controlling water and slurry flows, checking conveyors, pumps, valves, piping and other equipment, monitor and adjust as needed to maintain operating parameters within limits and inspect all other components of operating systems and equipment regularly. Familiarity with DCS, SCADA, HMI Control Systems. Accountability: The Surface Paste Plant Operator reports to the Mill Operations Supervisor. Responsibilities and Duties:

Carry out work activities as assigned by supervisor in accordance with safe work procedures.

Participate in quality control/quality assurance laboratory work to help ensure the product of the process is of the highest quality possible.

Conduct work area exam for assigned area(s) to identify that will improve safety to personnel and take necessary steps to correct conditions and document all noted conditions.

Conduct routine equipment inspections that may impact employee safety, environmental compliance, production or reliability of equipment and take action to mitigate defects. (Make basic repairs if employee has training, skill, and knowledge or generate work request in work management system).

Conduct detailed equipment inspections as assigned, document areas for improvement and generate work requests. (Safety equipment and plant equipment).

Maintain circuit operating parameters within designated limits.

Ensure all sampling is conducted at designated intervals, accurately processed, and results documented as defined by procedure.

Safely Operates surface heavy equipment to include but not limited to CAT 950M FEL, CAT 980M FEL, CAT 1255D Tele-handler, CAT D6N Dozer, Water Truck.

Operate assigned circuit(s) within specified standards to ensure federal/state/local/site requirements/regulations are followed and in compliance.

Stop and start all components or equipment in the system in field Control and SCADA Control.

Understand process flows and equipment to properly execute LOTO, & trouble shooting actions as required.

Constant communication and liaison with mine operation supervisors when underground paste filling is in progress to achieve proper Paste Consistency and Volumes are supplied for Back Fill of U/G Stopes. Notify U/G Supervision/Operation for any emergency shutdown in the paste plant.

Work with team members to effectively and efficiently complete tasks.

Knowledge / Education:

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

Knowledge of high pressure/high temperature systems preferred.

Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a processing facility preferred.

Direct experience working in the Process or Mining environment preferred.

Experience in handling chemicals and reagents preferred.

Experience in other phases of copper ore mining/processing preferred.

MSHA Part 48 for Underground Mines preferred.

Lift and potentially carry 50-70 lbs.

Operate a vehicle with a valid driver’s license

Climb stairwells and be capable of working on elevated platforms

Periodically work in adverse weather conditions

Sit for extended periods of time

Stay alert during periods of inactivity

The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.

The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hand, and wrists.

Work Schedule and Personal Protective Equipment:

The incumbent is expected to work on a rotating 12-hour day shift/night shift schedule. Personal Protective Equipment required for the field work portion of this position includes, but is not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. All equipment must be MSHA approved as applicable.
