Role Summary:  Responsible for accurately maintaining cost records in SAP as well as identifying opportunities to negotiate better costs for Summit.  This person must effectively partner with Demand Planning, Service Center Leaders, Operations Managers, Account Managers and branch-level Accounts Payable Associates to maintain a high level of accuracy in our systems in a timely manner.  The purpose of this role is to support internal associates to enable them to service our customers while maximizing profitability. Principal Accountabilities (essential job functions)Responsible for maintaining accurate Market Cost in SAP for assigned categoriesInvestigate and conduct root cause analysis of any cost discrepancies between Summit and manufacturer price filesReview cost changes from manufacturers to identify negotiation opportunitiesMaintain reporting for internal stakeholders on Manual Cost entry by Sales teamPerform other related duties as assigned
