AECOM is seeking an Environmental Geologist to support environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance projects throughout the Southwest region, with a preference for candidates located in New Mexico. The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of mining, oil and gas, industrial, and environmental remediation projects. Responsibilities will include site characterization, field investigations, environmental data interpretation, regulatory compliance support, and remediation program implementation. This position offers opportunities for both field and office-based work while collaborating with environmental scientists, engineers, project managers and program managers on complex environmental challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, and geological evaluations.Perform soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and waste characterization sampling programs.Support mining, oil and gas, and industrial environmental compliance projects.Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and environmental data to support investigation and remediation efforts.Prepare technical reports, work plans, sampling plans, and regulatory submissions.Assist with remediation system design, monitoring, operation, and performance evaluations.Support environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and closure activities.Coordinate field activities, subcontractors, laboratories, and data management efforts.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental solutions for clients.Maintain health and safety compliance during field operations and site activities.
