What you’ll do Reporting to our VP Finance & Strategy, you'll own the engine room of our finance function. Leading Payroll, Global Accounts Payable, and our Accounting Manager (who leads our financial accountants), you'll oversee everything from month-end close to treasury, financial systems to indirect tax. You're as comfortable running a tight operation as you are improving one – you'll lead the roll-out of a new PO workflow, expense management tool, and corporate card program, replacing manual processes with systems your teams and the wider business will genuinely want to use. Partnering closely with Procurement, Group Reporting, Credit Control and FP&A, and our broader Finance leadership team, you'll have real ownership over how our financial operations scale as we integrate and grow across Australia, the US, and Poland. Own end-to-end month-end and year-end close for financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls across the group. Lead and develop AU Payroll, Global Accounts Payable, and our Accounting Manager (and, through them, the financial accountants team), building a high-performing and collaborative culture. Own treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, and short-term cash flow forecasting, to support the group's liquidity and working capital needs.Oversee indirect tax compliance (GST/VAT and related obligations) across our operating jurisdictions, partnering with external advisors where needed. Lead the implementation and roll-out of a new PO workflow system, driving adoption and embedding it as business-as-usual. Introduce and embed a new expense management tool and corporate card program, retiring legacy processes in favour of scalable, user-friendly solutions. Strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures across AP, payroll, and treasury, proactively identifying and closing process gaps. Partner with FP&A, Group Reporting, and Tax to ensure financial operations data is accurate, timely, and supports broader reporting and forecasting needs. Manage relationships with banks, payment providers, and key system vendors (including NetSuite and Ramp) to keep operations running efficiently. Support wider finance integration initiatives, including systems consolidation and process harmonisation across the combined Nearmap-Itel group. Coach and mentor your team, setting clear goals and building capability to support the function's continued growth. Provide accurate, timely management information and KPIs on AP, payroll, and treasury performance to senior finance leadership.
