Position OverviewAn Associate Dean of Students supports the school’s efforts to create a positive, structured, disciplined school culture. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Students, who provides guidance, and direction, and supports school policy.  A successful Associate Dean is passionate about supporting our students, adapts to changes, and cultivates productive relationships with all members of the school community, including faculty, students, and families. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Serve as a liaison between students, families, and instructional staff under the supervision of the Assistant Director of StudentsAssess student body needs and respond to any questions or concerns from the student body in an effective and timely manner with direction provided by the manager.Responsible for the following daily tasks; Facilitate scanning, Yondr bags, and dress code during arrivalMonitors spaces while students are on campus before, during, and after schoolMonitors students during lunch, transitions, and other activities (after-school athletic, enrichment, and arts events; Supervise students if they are given consequences in accordance with our established tiered response guidelinesSupport with intervention programs that address the needs of at-risk students (assist Deans of Students or grade-level Directors) with after-school- accountability, groups, and mediations as needed.Attend weekly professional development sessions.
