Join us as a Principal Civil Engineer – Water in Christchurch. In this role, you will contribute to the strategic direction and excellence of projects and employees providing technical leadership for the water business unit. The primary purpose of this role is to drive business performance by delivering technically excellent client solutions. Your day-to-day will see you:Provide technical expertise and advice during the different stages of the project lifecycle from feasibility studies, detailed design strategies and constructionManaging project budget, timelines and resources to deliver quality outcomes for clientsReviewing technical deliverables to ensure compliance to NZ standardsLead and deliver high quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development, client liaison and contract negotiationMaintain and foster positive key client relationships with a focus on exceeding client satisfaction by setting high standards for project outcomesParticipate actively in business development activities such as bids and tenders, driving optimisation of commercial outcomes for clientsMentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development.
