You can learn the basics of specific jobs and operate basic machinery and tools following proper training.Essential FunctionsOperate magnetic drillsTorque boltsGrind steel products using various sized grindersOperate cutting and heating torchesLayout, position, align, and fit together the fabricated parts of structural components according to shop drawing or prints and layout specificationsTack weldingUnload raw materials and load finished steel products with the use of a forklift (requires completion of proper training and certification)Perform trash and scrap removal; general cleaning and housekeeping in the shop as directed; run errands and perform in-house deliveries as necessaryHandle, move and turn production materials with overhead cranesStud weld and operate a stud welding machinePerform other job duties as assigned
