EDUCATION CONSULTANT I/II #42295(Job Id 15078)Location: US:NH:CONCORD Post Date: 08/23/2019Close Date:Category: PROFESSIONAL and MANAGERIALEmployment Type:Salary: 53,176.500-65,949.000 USDDescriptionState of New Hampshire Job PostingNew Hampshire Department of EducationDivision of Education Analytics and Resources/Bureau of Educational Opportunities101 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301Education Consultant I/Education Consultant IILabor Grades 26 and 27Position #42295Labor Grade 26 Yearly Salary $53,176.50 - $63,180.00Labor Grade 27 Yearly Salary $55,555.50 - $65,949.00The State of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Department of Education, Division of Analytics and Resources, Bureau of Educational Opportunitieshas a full-time vacancy for an Education Consultant I/II.Education Consultant ISCOPE OF WORK: To plan, coordinate and monitor federal educational accountability related to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) andinitiatives to ensure regulations are met by providing technical assistance and consultation services to Department staff, local school districts andother stakeholders.Education Consultant IISCOPE OF WORK: To implement, plan, coordinate and monitor federal educational accountability related to the Every Student Succeeds Act(ESSA), programs and initiatives by reviewing recommendations, interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and planning and promoting short andlong term goals or strategies.Education Consultant IACCOUNTABILITIES:Conducts accountability program reviews and evaluations to ensure federal regulations are being met, including the coordination of the federalaccountability system.Conducts analysis to determine and verify school accountability identifications based on federal law and provides reports to Department staff and school districts.Develops and implements technical assistance to Department staff and school districts regarding accountability appeals based on federal laws and policies.Supervises and manages the preparation of reports and conducts reviews and evaluations, as well as verification of academic targets and results for the state, school districts and schools.Provides supports to schools and school districts in interpretation and application of academic targets to support student achievement.Reviews federal accountability legislation and regulations, as well as current accountability and school improvement research for the purposes of providing support to educators, parents, policymakers and Department staff.Plans, coordinates and offers professional development programs to ensure educators and administrators have information and resources regarding educational accountability.Collects assessment and accountability data in partnership with the Departments Bureau of Education Statistics and develops draft publications of appropriate accountability reports, studies and memos.Educational Consultant IIAccountabilities:Evaluates and monitors accountability programs by conducting school accountability program reviews and evaluations to ensure federal regulations are being met, including the coordination of the states accountability systems and federal accountability systems, and ensuring that the state's accountability plan continually reflects current practices, as well as federal laws, rules and regulations.Conducts analysis to determine and verify school accountability identifications based on federal law and provides reports to Department staff and school districts.Develops and implements technical assistance to Department staff and school districts regarding accountability appeals based on federal laws and policies.Coordinates the investigations of assessment implementation protocol breaches, as directed by the Bureau Administrator.Prepares reports and conducts reviews and evaluations, as well as verification of academic targets and results for the state, school districts and schools.
