Job DescriptionDevelop, deploy, debug, and maintain software for the operations teams running Oracle’s National Security Regions (ONSR).As a member of the Platform and Process Engineering team, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the management of Oracle’s disconnected cloud realms supporting the interests of US national security. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and productive; someone who knows how to balance speed and quality with iterative and incremental improvements. You are someone who can work independently and infuse a culture of being proactive within your team.Duties and tasks are standard with some variation and may vary in complexity from simple to moderate. Fully competent in own area of expertise. A bachelor of science degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI government security clearance required, Polygraph preferred
Demonstrated ability to write great code using Python
Proficiency with Java, C, GoLang, or similar object-oriented languages
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, Linux operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Working familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP suite, HTTP, et cetera) and standard network architectures
Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
