Job Description

The Beneficial Product Analyst will play an important role in the transformation and growth of the corporate issuer business. You will work as part of the Issuer Product Management Team to represent the issuer client and influence the roadmap for proxy transformation initiatives, ProxyVote, issuer customization options, and all printed and electronic communication to shareholders. The Product Analyst will manage the development, implementation, and support processes for enhancements to existing products and new products in the market.

This position requires cross functional teamwork with our Bank Broker Dealer and Issuer Product Team and our sales, service, operations, technology, legal, and marketing teams. Responsibilities will also include client interactions with our issuer clients and potential partners.

The ideal candidate will have product experience working in a financial or technology organization, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the issuer user and shareholder to support the creation of outstanding products that meet/exceed expectations
  • Work closely with the Bank Broker Dealer product team to provide the issuer/shareholder perspective and influence the product roadmap
  • Partner with client service, sales and product team to gather client feedback and clearly understand business challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Define requirements, and build and measure critical metric around reliability and usage
  • Responsible to maintain product backlog prioritization updates, including release timelines
  • Establish and maintain consistent communications with client counterpart
  • Take ownership of critical issues, enlist proper representation from other support teams and drive towards resolution.

Technical / Operational

  • Translate product features into technical & development specifications
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive technical execution including prioritization
  • Ensure that technology decisions are designed for scale and serviceability
  • Own product documentation including detailed analysis, user requirements, and release notes
  • Ensure alignment between developed code and original spec (e.g. UAT) prior to sending to QA
  • Compose business requirements documents and write/participate in functional requirements
  • Assist others (internally and externally) with end-user technical support as needed
  • Provide technical expertise for pre-sales support
  • Balance and lead conversion activities (Lead client conversations and build client-facing documentation)

Strategic

  • Gather client feedback through interviews, product demos, and usage reviews
  • Maintain a feature backlog for assigned products and participate in prioritization
  • Work closely with client key technical counterpart to understand needs
  • With Product Manager, Product Specialist, convert high-level customer needs to scalable features
  • Work with the development teams to prioritize and develop new features

Process

  • Lead identification, analysis and documentation of current/future-state business process
  • Perform gap analysis to determine current/future state and process flows
  • Develop and improve written specifications with other teams
  • Provide status reports on an ongoing basis, stating progress, risks and issues
  • Support a culture of high-performance, scalability, & product excellence including best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years business analyst/client support experience
  • Prior experience writing business requirements or user stories required
  • Experience with public company reporting, annual meetings, and proxy voting a plus
  • Passion for delivering outstanding products to our clients
  • An energetic, positive and innovative attitude, with leadership and facilitation skills to bring projects to a successful delivery;
  • Project management, collaboration, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a strong track record of cross-team and cross-client team participation
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, and flexible in changing functions
  • Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
  • Ability to drive execution and collaborate with peers
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodology
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
