Description: The Sr. Software Engineer provides technical leadership and governance for supported application's execution of the software development life cycle. This role participates in the technical and operational aspects of the IT strategy and participates daily in support activities, architectural design and implementation as well as other related initiatives that impacts supported applications.
What your day looks like:
Provide technical direction on support tasks such as bugs and enhancement requests
Implement bug fixes and enhancements into flexible, supportable and scalable code
Collaborate with business stake holders, analysts, project managers, database architects and other teams in the course of the entire development life cycle
Ensure supported applications are performing at an optimal level
Develop software design documents and assist other teams on functional design activities
Comply and implement software development best practices and coding standards
Participate in code review activities
Handle code merges and source code control across project tracks
Provide technical support in testing and release management activities
Participate and sometimes lead in Agile Scrum/Kanban ceremonies
The Expertise you have:
Deep understanding and hands-on experience in .Net Standard & Core, C# utilizing REST services, WCF, MVC pattern and Entity Framework
Extensive knowledge and experience in AngularJS or newer
Exposure to role-based and token-based security model
Hands-on experience in SQL Server and other relational databases
Extensive knowledge in service-oriented architecture
Exposure to NUnit, NLog, .Net Core Logger or other related tools
Knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing systems integration utilizing API's
Exposure to DevOps, Git and MSBuild or other related tools
Some hands-on experience in report writing tools such as SSRS, PowerBI or other related tools
Exposure to development methodologies such as but not limited to Agile Scrum or Kanban
Ability to troubleshoot critical issues, provide guidelines and/or navigate issue all the way thru resolution
Strong knowledge and experience in Agile Scrum/Kanban best practices
Some level of exposure to Azure Cloud solutions
Ability to organize, orchestrate and communicate in a team environment
The Skills you Bring:
Bachelors or Master's degree in CS or closely related field
5+ years of development experience in .Net Standard & Core, C# utilizing REST services, WCF, MVC pattern
5+ years of development experience in T-SQL
3+ years of development experience in AngularJS or newer
3+ years of modern JavaScript frameworks
3+ years of experience in source code control and continuous build / deployment
Some hands-on experience in SSRS, PowerBI or other related reporting tools
Hands-on experience in systems integration utilizing API solutions
Some hands-on experience in Entity Framework or other related ORM's
Some exposure to NUnit, NLog, .Net Core Logger or other related tools
Strong experience in Agile Scrum/Kanban best practices
Some exposure to Azure Cloud solutions
Exposure to DevOps, Git, MSBuild or other related tools
