We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planning Specialist to join our Kingsgrove Roastery on a 7-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will play a key role in driving effective production planning, ensuring optimal use of resources, and supporting the timely delivery of high-quality products.This role is ideal for someone with strong SAP expertise and a background in manufacturing or supply chain planning who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction PlanningDevelop and manage weekly production plans aligned to demand forecasts and plant capacityCoordinate export production requirementsPartner with Demand Planning and Operations teams to resolve planning issuesTroubleshoot SAP APO-related production planning issuesSupport production leave planning to meet operational requirementsProduce extended production forecasts as requiredPlan and order raw materials based on forecast demandMaintain and update SAP master data and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Warehouse & Logistics CoordinationCoordinate weekly transport to third-party logistics (3PL) providersManage SAP stock transactions and bookingsCreate purchase orders and shipment documentationMaintain accurate and timely recordsBuild effective relationships across factory, logistics providers, and 3PL partnersProduction Order ControlEnsure production orders are completed accurately and on time within SAPResolve system discrepancies (e.g. COGI errors, write-offs)Manage Loscam pallet accounts and variancesReporting & Continuous ImprovementAnalyse production performance and report on plan vs actual variancesIdentify and implement corrective actionsDeliver daily, weekly, monthly, and YTD reportingSupport audits, compliance requirements, and improvement initiativesWork Health & SafetyPromote and maintain a strong safety culture aligned with ANZ WHS standardsParticipate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and auditsEnsure compliance with safe work practices and proceduresContribute to ongoing safety improvements and reporting
