We are always pursuing excellence to exceed our ambitions goals, rewarding both the goal outcome and how we achieve it.PurposeWe are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team and lead developing and managing our organization’s cloud architecture.In this role you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the architectures for cloud systems, including cloud native services, cloud infrastructure, and cloud services such as monitoring.You will expand our cloud governance capabilities to ensure that guardrails are in place and that workload teams are fulfilling their responsibilities within these guardrails.You will collaborate closely with diverse IT and business teams to enhance our cloud-based systems and optimize their performance, security, and cost.This position offers an exciting opportunity to expand and mature a cloud environment and drive adoption of innovative cloud solutions that support out business.#LI-HybridAccountabilities
Lead creation and monitoring of cloud architecture patterns and standards
Lead cloud governance activities – expanding and formalizing cloud governance to ensure LOB teams and vendors work within established guardrails and are leveraging the benefits of cloud architectures
Review cloud architectures and designs proposed by vendors and LOB teams for adherence to standards and provide guidance
Conduct technical audits of existing architectures to identify improvement opportunities and feed back to platform and LOB teams
Develop and maintain a roadmap for the cloud platform
Drive improvements to cloud platform services – agility, security, visibility, availability, performance
Develop architecture and designs for business and technology systems migrating to cloud
Document and maintain technology strategies and standards related to cloud computing
Provide architecture governance of IT investments and projects.
Collaborate with Line of Business (LOB) to identify their technology needs and innovation opportunities.
Education and Experience
5 years hands on experience designing and implementing Azure Environments
Azure Architecture certification
Experience in leading cloud governance activities
Demonstrated experience developing architecture patterns and standards
Knowledge of cloud adoptions and cloud architecture frameworks
Understanding of Cloud Financial Management and Cloud Security
Experience working with Automation and Infrastructure as Code technologies including Terraform and PowerShell is preferred.
Strategic thinking and business communication – ability to decompose and communicate complex topics with non-technical audiences
Strong background in infrastructure technologies such as VMWare, Cisco, Windows, UNIX, and Linux Experience working in the utility sector will be beneficial
Experience with SAP and other enterprise applications will be beneficial
Demonstrated knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or equivalent framework.
Ability to drive progress from poorly defined problem to create consensus on requirements and best solution to meet those requirements.
