AECOM is actively seeking a creative, Water Design-Build Program Manager for the Water Business Line to be based on Long Island, NY. This position will be part of an exciting team employing the latest technologies to solve critical water supply, treatment, and infrastructure projects such as water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems This is an opportunity to work on some of our nation’s most pressing water infrastructure problems and contributing to AECOM’s success as an industry leader in engineering and construction.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:The Program Manager will be charged with responsibility to actively direct the performance of an ongoing water and wastewater project as well as take a leadership role in the development and capture of upcoming design build pursuits.The Program Manager will lead the Design and Construction Quality Assurance team and activities ,  for the project with the support of a team of subject matter professionals.  It is desirable that the DB Program Manager has capability in  in both conceptual and detailed engineering and construction project management capacities.As a DB Program Manager the primary responsibilities will include client point of contact for all project matters, direct negotiations with design builder for potential claims and change orders; managing the activities of the design and construction quality assurance team;, as well as overall project management for scheduling, constructability reviews, familiarity with job cost reporting, and budget control activities through the life of the project, including EAC analysis during on-site construction as prime contracting entity.Fiscal Experience – Proven project management skills to delivery projects at or under budget and on schedule.  Working knowledge of job accounting and reporting methods such as earned value and estimates to complete.Team Oriented – This position requires the skill set to directly oversee and manage detailed engineering and construction teams working collaboratively together to deliver the projectReview of monthly client ReportsApproves correspondence related to construction and identifies key issues regarding disputed work, delays, additional and supplemental work, and non-conforming workEnsures that safety monitoring activities within the Program’s scope of work are being accomplished.Reviewing the contractor’s CPM schedule with assistance from the Scheduler, to assure that the schedule conforms to the CPM format required by the contract documentQA/QC program complianceFinal review and authorization of contractor payments including confirmation of Prevailing Wage interviews with trades.Responsible for review and resolution and/or approval of Inspector and Contractor reporting, forms, testing, compliance and coordination issuesMonitoring and reporting on the contractor activities during the performance of the work to determine if the work is being constructed in accordance with the contract documentsPrimary receiver and reviewer of responses for all project correspondence.
