Our Macraes underground mining department on the hunt for an experienced Auto Electrician. Whether you’re new to the mining sector, or keen to further your experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with New Zealand’s largest gold mine. This role will involve servicing, diagnosing and undertaking electrical repairs to a wide variety of underground earthmoving equipment, both underground and in our above-surface workshop.
7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off, 6:30am/pm to 6:30pm/am roster. Responsibilities include:Ensure that all underground equipment is mechanically and electronically maintained in accordance with company and manufacturer guidelinesWork at both surface-level and underground to maintain and service vehicles As directed by the Auto Electrical specialist, you will maintain automation gear (e.g. remote services), complete general electrical repairs, and electrical services as requiredComplete mechanical requirements as requiredEnsure that the necessary lock out procedures is in place before commencing work on a piece of equipmentEnsure all the necessary pre-start service and repair documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner
