Please reach out to Alex Woodworth for this role, or if you have a current RH recruiter, please reach out to them about this position.In this role, it will be critical for you to manage a team, handle payroll taxes, software implementation and testing, payroll labor laws, audits, reconciliations, GL, month end and much more. What you get to do every day

Comply with relevant laws and internal policies

Collaborate with auditors and manage payroll tax audits

Coach and supervise payroll assistants and clerks

Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g., salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)

Create reports and ensure accuracy of records

Work with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams

Arrange payroll systems and timekeeping

Regulate system upgrades and the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)

Respond to all questions related to payroll and resolve issues

Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Solid grasp on current payroll procedures and related laws

CPP, CPM, or other related professional certifications is a plus

Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes

Comfortable with multiple payroll applications

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field

2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role

Excellent knowledge in compliance

5+ years of payroll experience

Efficient in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

Strong organizational and leadership skills
