job detailsjob summary:Great client looking to add for a Design Engineer to their team. The Design Engineer will be responsible for managing all engineering tasks and documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/14001, ASME, and other relevant standards. Additionally, they will assist in pricing products, processing orders for new products, and supporting manufacturing operations by overseeing changes in production. This role presents a contract-to-potential-permanent opportunity. Design, innovate, and refine new and existing products/product lines.

Evaluate and propose specifications, ensuring products meet technical and functional requirements.

Conduct feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs.

Handle tasks involving conventional plans, investigations, or equipment, with few complex features.

Define criteria and tolerances for incoming product acceptance.

Coordinate, test, and evaluate production of initial items from vendors.

Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing teams.

Oversee all phases of new product development in accordance with ISO Quality Procedures.

Collaborate with teams to ensure project milestones and timelines are met.

Efficiently process quotes and assist with new product orders.

Maintain and organize ECF's drawing library and file storage.

Create and update manufacturing drawings and models adhering to professional standards.

Review work of colleagues for accuracy and completeness.

Communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.

Produce clear and precise reports.

Offer technical assistance to quality assurance, production, and other departments.

Participate actively in team initiatives and cross-training programs.

Contribute to ISO 9001/14001 compliance and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:

Associates degree (Bachelors Preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
