MANAGER REHAB SERVICES

JOB SUMMARY

High visibility, public contact position requiring multifaceted office skills to provide the general secretarial, reception and processing of inpatient and outpatient referrals, billing and records for the physical, occupational, speech and massage therapy services.

Responsible to Rehabilitative Services Director.

Responsible for maximizing utilization of the automated information systems in our Outpatient Rehab Facilities.

Daily support for office and clinical staff.

Provides end-user training; system file maintenance; data validation; log monitoring; benchmarking; and continuous process improvement.

Preserve patient confidentiality and support the Patient Bill of Rights. Organize the flow of information.

Takes responsibility for determining learning needs and seeks out opportunities for such.

Maintains educational training log.

Acts as a resource/may provide in-service education in qualified areas of expertise.

Attends vendor sponsored seminars and classes as appropriate.

Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work during heavy workload situations to expedite patient care.

Maintains current knowledge and adheres to all organization policies and procedures, practice/site protocols and safety and infection control policy and procedures.

Demonstrates a commitment to maintain competency in those activities which contribute to ongoing professional development and those required by the department and hospital policy.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree preferred, AS acceptable with strong IS background.

Strong knowledge of MS-Windows, Microsoft Office applications, and application builds.

Experience with database structures and implementation methodologies.
