Provide A/E mechanical engineering services for the Department of Energy (DOE) Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).Lead mechanical design for oil & gas projects, including pumps, compressors, piping, valves, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications, RFIs, and contractor submittals.Perform piping, pump, pipe stress, control valve, and relief device calculations.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and DOE personnel to maintain quality, schedule, safety, and budget.Conduct site visits to SPR locations in Louisiana and Texas several times per year.RequirementsMaster’s + 10 years or Bachelor’s + 15 years in Mechanical Engineering/oil & gas.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Oil & gas engineering/design experience preferred.Rotating equipment experience required.Experience with CAESAR, PipeFLO, or similar software.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred.Valid driver’s license and ability to pass PIV background check.
