The Penguin Random House Online & Digital Sales team is seeking a Manager, National Accounts responsible for maximizing sales growth. This highly visible and fast-paced role is responsible for managing day-to-day account activity, driving sales growth, supporting forecast alignment and inventory health, identifying frontlist and backlist opportunities, and building strong relationships with both account contacts and internal publishing partners. The Manager will work closely with sales leadership, publishers, inventory, operations, marketing, publicity, analytics, and finance teams to ensure account plans are well-executed, data-informed, and aligned with company priorities.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maximizes sales growth across assigned online and digital accounts by managing title-level opportunities, reviewing orders, supporting reorders, and identifying areas for frontlist and backlist growth. Manage forecasting, inventory health, availability, replenishment, preorder readiness, and account inventory needs for assigned titles and accounts, working closely with inventory, operations, and sales leadership to support strong in-stock performance and issue resolution. Runs, reviews, and analyzes daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales and inventory reports to monitor account performance, identify risks and opportunities, manage inventory levels, and support account planning. Manages day-to-day account activity, including communication with account contacts, follow-up on title opportunities, coordination of account needs, and execution of sales priorities. Develops and supports account merchandising, sales, promotional, and seasonal presentations, using account insights, title knowledge, inventory position, and data to recommend opportunities. Build strong relationships with publishing partners, including editorial, marketing, publicity, inventory, operations, analytics, and finance teams, to communicate account priorities and align on sales opportunities, inventory needs, and title-level plans. Communicates timely and relevant account-specific information to appropriate imprints and internal stakeholders, including account updates, title performance, promotional opportunities, inventory needs, risks, market trends, and account initiatives. Tracks account performance against sales goals, forecasts, promotional plans, inventory position, and seasonal priorities, providing clear updates and recommendations to sales leadership and publishing partners. Attends and participates in meetings with internal departments, including editorial, marketing, publicity, inventory, operations, analytics, and finance, representing account needs and online/digital retail opportunities. Monitors online retail trends, account initiatives, competitive activity, consumer behavior, and digital merchandising opportunities to help inform sales strategy.
